Diversity & Inclusion

As a global company, we support diverse customers in diverse markets with diverse needs. Diversity within our own company – whether culture, gender, race or other – means we value different and varying perspectives, and we believe it can have a positive impact on how we innovate and how we grow.

When we have ways to share and explore different experiences, expectations and contributions, we create a safe space to learn about and value our diversity. By empowering people with knowledge, we can incite action that moves us forward – as individuals, as a company and as a society.

Our DE&I goals are:

  • Establish baseline metrics to support our long-term strategy and track progress across all programs

  • Engage the executive leadership team in D&I-based activities, such as ERG sponsorship

  • Hire and retain diverse candidates in our workforce

  • Create equal opportunities for employees to thrive and achieve success

  • Eliminate pay inequities, based on race, gender or other criteria

  • Review policies for inclusivity and making updates, as appropriate

  • Conduct regular training for leaders on understanding personal bias

  • Use inclusive language in our communications

Diebold Nixdorf is committed to operating with integrity and inclusion, and to treating all people equitably. Our culture is guided by five core values: Accountability, Collaboration, Decisiveness, Sense of Urgency and Willingness to Change. We also expect every employee to consciously think about how they can CARE for one another – by being Considerate, Aware, Responsible and Empathetic – and celebrate our differences. We must ensure that all employees feel valued and protected within the workplace, know how they can contribute and are equitably recognized for their work. At DN, how we work together is as important as what we do.

Human Rights Campaign Foundation 2022 Corporate Equality Index

We are proud to have participated in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index, an annual assessment measuring policies, practices and benefits related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality, and earned a score of 90 out of 100! In our first participation in the survey, our result reflects our efforts in areas like revising company policies to include gender identity and sexual orientation protections, providing transgender-inclusive healthcare, launching our Pride@DN employee resource group, and establishing partnerships with groups like The Trevor Project. By participating in HRC’s Corporate Equality Index, we are learning how we can better support our LGBTQ+ colleagues.
