REPLACING AN EXISTING AHD WITH A RETROFIT KIT

• AHD Head Retrofit Kits are designed to replace a specific AHD head. The new replacement AHD size and appearance will vary by kit based
  on the AHD head being replaced
• Kit includes AHD head replacement only, the chute and/or safe is not included.
• The minimum safe door opening is 24”W x 24”H for physical access to the safe (site survey required)
• The chute length must be 12” or less for reach into the chute (site survey required)
• The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) provides guidance whenever there are modifications made to an After-Hour Depository. Therefore, the push/pull force must be five pounds or less with a 48” maximum reach.
• The AHD retrofit kit head is ADA compliant regarding the 5lb pull and push. When replacing an existing head, the height may or may not be compliant. If necessary, compliance can be achieved by reducing the height in order to lower the housing.
• Each kit includes installation instructions specific to the AHD head being replaced.
• None of the retrofit kit AHD heads are equipped with lights or envelope holders.
